Case Address: Tung Tau Estate, Shau Kei WanThe space at home is limited, but children always have different small demands for their own dream rooms. This custom project has specially created a room themed around the popular cartoon character Chiikawa for children. It combines practicality and childlike fun, providing a comfortable and warm little world for children’s growth.

Reverse the traditional half-height bed design

Unlike traditional semi-high beds, this design is based on the concept of “sleeping on the lower layer and playing on the upper layer”. The lower level has created a sleeping area for children that resembles the home design of the cartoon character Chiikawa, which is low-key and comfortable. The upper floor is a dedicated space for children to relax or enjoy their playtime on a daily basis, providing them with more activity options and making full use of every corner of the room.

Chiikawa element fusion bed column

The bed rail adopts the cute shape of Chiikawa, becoming the theme focus of the entire room. Not only does it add fun and beauty, but it also effectively ensures the safety of children when they are on the upper floor. The main color of the pure white design echoes the minimalist style of the Chiikawa family in the animation, making the room appear brighter and more spacious, and also reserving more possibilities for future room decoration for children.

The glass doll cabinet takes into account both collection and display

Considering that the child has collected a large number of dolls, a glass display cabinet with LED lights was specially arranged at the end of the bed. The design of the glass cabinet not only enhances the display effect of the collectibles but also effectively keeps them tidy, providing a perfect “home” for children’s beloved dolls. Discarding the clutter of traditional storage boxes, this design showcases individuality and fun through refinement.

The pure white design is understated yet retains the protagonist’s charm

The furniture in the entire house is mainly designed in pure white, complemented by solid wood flooring, which looks elegant and decent, instantly enhancing the sense of space. The pure white tone does not overshadow the children’s collectibles or other decorations, providing a perfect background for the theme dolls, toys, etc. in the room. This fresh design style is not only suitable for children but can also be flexibly adjusted at any time to follow their growth.

A one-stop pegboard for dressing and makeup with a full-length mirror

The space along the wall of the room is also thoughtfully designed, with pegboards installed and full-length mirrors attached. The pegboard is flexible and versatile. It can be used to hang daily items such as clothes and bags, making full use of the wall space while also keeping the items neatly arranged. After moving the pegboard, a full-length mirror is also hidden, which meets the needs of girls for dressing and makeup. It serves two purposes in one, being convenient and practical.
