The height of the cabinet should not be too high, and should be low enough so that you don’t have to raise your hands when washing them.
Generally speaking, when using an undermount sink, the height should not exceed 900 mm. However, best practice is to calculate the height according to the homeowner.
Faucets come in all shapes and sizes, and not all are suitable for the bathroom. The height mainly depends on the type of sink that’s installed.
The two main types of sinks are undermount sinks and countertop sinks.
For undermount sinks, the entire edge is hidden underneath the counter top. We suggest a faucet with a short height, typically between 80-150 mm.
For countertop sinks, also known as vessel sinks, they sit entirely on top of the countertop. All facets of this style of sink are plainly visible. Due to this, we recommend a taller faucuet, preferable one between 300-350 mm.
After choosing the type of sink and appropriate faucet, you should reserve enough space for the cabinet.
If the wall cabinet or mirror is too close to the faucet, it will affect the use. For undermount sinks, about 200 mm of space should be reserved above the sink. As for vessel sinks, the space should range between 350-400 mm.
Many people regard bathing time as the most private and relaxing time. The bathroom becomes a small, personal space for them to enjoy. Therefore, the bathroom vanity is one of the best private storage areas.
In addition, the bathroom is a room with high humidity. Even though most bathrooms separate the dry and wet spaces, the humidity in the bathroom is still high. Most bathroom vanities are designed with a cabinet door. This way, you can keep your toiletries and towels dry.
However, the fully hidden cabinet door storage may not be the most convenient to use, so a small part of the bathroom vanity has been designed for items that are used frequently. You may choose to place some storage bins, making it easier for users to access the items. It can also add a fun look to your bathroom cabinet.
Females spend more than half of their time in the bathroom by the vanity, looking in the mirror, brushing their teeth, drying their hair, styling their hair, etc. They need to use accessories that require electricity, like hair dryers and hair straighteners. If you think of the best positioning for an outlet and where to place these electrical devices, then your user experience will be much more smooth and convenient.
Additionally, you may consider installing extra lighting when designing the vanity. It can provide some warmth to the room and give you more lighting when necessary.
We work closely with many suppliers such as, Formica, Brilliant, Staron, Coria, Toppal, and Germantops allowing customers to choose their favorite styles.
